Meet Branko, aka The Prostate Czech.
KBS+P created the character to raise awareness amongst men (and women) about prostate cancer in partnership with the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
Get Checked Before You Get Czeched
Branko has his own website where you can watch him “punk” unsuspecting males on the streets of New York — rubber glove in hand. Or Prostate Poke a friend on Facebook to remind them to get checked.
He also maintains a Twitter feed in which he reminds men that he is watching, ready to Czech them at any moment.
But Branko is not purely fictional.
KBS+P copywriter Ash Tavassoli imagined the character, but, unable to find a believable actor through talent agencies, he advertised on Craigslist for a real Czech to portray him.
Branko, a retired Czech living in Toronto, contacted him and agreed to play the part.
Up next, Branko will grow a real mustache as part of the Movember campaign, which raises vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.
He’ll document his mustache’s growth via images and Twitter, delivering what are sure to be bone-chilling reminders to men everywhere to get Czeched.
