Growing up a Sixers fan, it was natural to look north and look at the Knicks as the enemy. But, those Knicks teams were just phenomenal.
Talking to a lifelong Knicks fan after this interview, it turned into a game of “I remember.”
“I remember what he used to turn and back in on guys. It was over.”
“I remember this one shot…”
“I remember when he and Clyde…”
On and on and on. The picture-perfect descriptions of one of the true greats ever to lace ‘em up. One of the best ever on the hallowed floor of Madison Square Garden.
And to a man, one of the true gentlemen of the game that we all love so much.
