Trying To Make Sense Of My Top Spotify Plays This Month
Just browsing my Facebook page and I peeked at my top Spotify music for the month. If you’d like to keep score, the top albums came from (in order): Sun Kil Moon, Seal, Deadmau5, Best Relaxation Music (The Sleeping Baby one) and Prince. Kanye West was one of the top artists.
This is the digital music equivalent of buying pot roast, Drano, chocolate chip cookies, Gatorade, lottery tickets and cold medicine at the store. It doesn’t make much sense.
Deadmau5? That’s easy. My son keeps asking me to play “The Veldt,” which I love — and clearly, he does too.
Seal? Just kind of felt like today, OK? Lay off. Sheesh.
Prince was because of this awesome post from Corey DuBrowa.
I think I had Spotify running all day with Sun Kil Moon. This might explain the high count there.
Kanye? It’s Kanye. And you listen to him too. Don’t lie.
Best Relaxation Music is simple: I use it to try to get the kids to sleep. Invariably, I end up falling asleep first because it is sooooooo relaxing.
I’ll check back in a couple of weeks.
I just pray that Justin Bieber doesn’t show up at the top.
Though I can’t promise anything.
