My name is Hannah Tabor. As a native Coloradan, I cannot resist the draw of the mountains. I’ll never pass up a camping trip, a skiing expedition or a hike. I like collecting piles of books, the irresistible draw of a blank page and a new pen, and observing the world. I believe in the power of words.
I came to the University of Oregon knowing I wanted to be an advertising major. Throughout my life, my greatest passion has been writing. I have storage bins bursting with filled notebooks, from my Harry Potter spiral notebooks of my elementary school days to my black Moleskins of present day. In high school I took four years of art classes, which brought a love for visuals and design to my life. I was drawn to advertising because it is an industry where I can combine my love of writing and visual art into meaningful, smart, creative projects. My major gives me a chance to stretch my creative muscles on a daily basis and produce work that I can be proud of.
I love the University of Oregon and all the opportunities it has given me. Luckily for me, I get the chance to share my love of this university with prospective students through my job as a Student Ambassador.
I hope to one day work as a writer or account planner, preferably in my hometown and favorite city- Denver, Colorado.
