Hello. My name is Kaila and I’m about to take one big step into the creative industry. Hey, I might even change it! That might be a bold statement for a young woman about to jump into her lifelong profession, but I’m willing to bet that there isn’t a student here with the same goal. Right?

 

I’m here to make a difference and share my thoughts with the world and some of the most forward-looking minds in the industry.

Yeah, I like that.

 

I was born in Orange County, California, lived in the Bay Area for a while and then moved to Tigard, Oregon, when I was only six years old. Now, here I am in Eugene at the University of Oregon as an Advertising student with mind-changing ideas and innovation.

 

I’m determined, fearless and daring.

I like to try new things and take on every challenge. I’m a huge fan of the two big A’s – athletics and arts. I’ve played just about every sport. Yes, I was an avid pole vaulter. I love to draw, paint, film, act and create anything and everything. I’m a hipster from Portlandia at heart who loves great music and great beer.

And truthfully, I own way too many shirts from Urban Outfitters.

I’m a determined dreamer living one day at a time, with candy in my hand. And with coffee. And maybe some Red Bull. But I promise I take my vitamins daily.

 

I have great procrastination skills and okay timely skills, harboring ambitions to become a crazy cat lady if the creative world of Advertising proves to be impossible for me.
